Description

Welcome to Cowles Cottage!

Entry to the home is through the breezeway, which provides a foosball table for kids and adults of all ages, as well as a picnic table for your casual vacation meals. A central hallway takes you to the large kitchen with plenty of counter space, as well as the lake view dining room with seating for 8 people, ceiling fans and vaulted ceilings. To the left of the hallway is a full bathroom with bathtub, a utility room with washer and dryer, and a separate entrance to the side yard. A roomy, relaxing living room is adjascent to the kitchen and dining room, and offers a wood burning fireplace, double sleeper sofa, and a tasteful, neutral décor. To the left of the living room is a small bedroom with single bed and wonderful views of the lake. An enclosed porch with comfortable seating areas is also located off the living room. You’ll want to start and end every day of your vacation out here, especially by savoring those beautiful Canandaigua Lake sunsets.

An open staircase off the living room takes you to three more bedrooms and an additional full bathroom. The first bedroom provides a double bed and is located on the lake side of the home. You’ll want to open the windows at night to enjoy the sounds of the waves. The second upstairs bedroom is also located on the lake side of the home, it is decorated in a quaint, cottage style, and provides a pair of single beds. The third upstairs bedroom is the master bedroom, and it features a king size bed, and plenty of storage space in the closet and dressers. An east-facing window overlooks the back lawn, so you’ll want to keep the curtains open if you plan on waking up with the sun. A full bathroom with shower stall is located off the bedroom, and it also has an entry to the main hallway.

The tastefully landscaped yard offers plenty of room for everyone to relax together. Be sure to take the canoe out to enjoy the lake. If you’ve brought a boat along, Canandaigua Public Launch is located just two miles away.

For groups with more than 6 people, Panfish Inn is located right next door and Sunset Beach is only two houses away. Located across the road is a large, grassy area, perfect for games, or just letting the kids run, run, run.

Canandaigua is only a 5 minute drive away, and you’ll want to take advantage of everything it has to offer. For the kids, there is Roseland Water Park, a movie theater, bowling, and plenty of historical sites and museums. Adults can try their luck at Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack, take a cooking class or try a tasty meal at the New York Wine and Culinary Center, or shop along the quaint main street. Spend some time in Wegmans and see why this grocery store is a must-see for all who come to the area. Take a trip on one of the cruise ships on Canandiagua Lake, or spend some time hiking along one of the many great trails in the area. If you’re a snow lover, this is a great place to be! There are plenty of snow shoeing and cross country ski trails around, and Bristol Mountain is only 16 miles away.
