Just north of the gorges of Ithaca you’ll find 150 feet of pristine Cayuga Lake waterfront at beautiful Idle Hour.  This 2-bedroom home offers a detached Guest House and is the ideal Finger Lakes getaway whether you’re celebrating a wedding at Cornell University, or you’re attending graduation at Ithaca or the Northeast College of Health and Science.

Inside you will find all the amenities you could hope for in your new home away from home.  The spacious kitchen is well equipped with a variety of cooking and eating ware. Whether you're preparing salads for your afternoon BBQ or your favorite pasta entrée for dinner, you'll have everything you need!  A dining table set for eight allows you to enjoy mealtime together, or out on the gorgeous lakeside deck just a few steps away from the kitchen. 

The kitchen and dining area open to the living area with sofa and chairs.  Just around the corner, a bedroom with bunk set can be found.  Completing this floor, a full bathroom with shower/tub combo can be found off the kitchen.

Upstairs, the master suite can be found! Stunning lake views and a blend of blue hues welcome you.  The ensuite master bath offers a garden tub to relax and soak away any cares of the day.

The cozy Guest House offers a queen bed and ensuite bath with stand-up shower.

Outside, two wrap around decks and a roof patio may prove to be your groups favorite areas of the house!  Whether you’re enjoying a locally brewed cup of fresh ground coffee, or you’re toasting the night with a bottle of Finger Lakes wine, the views from the deck will soon help you realize how Idle Hour got its name. 

At the lakefront, the gradual entry into the cool waters of Cayuga Lake is perfect for both younger and older travelers alike.  Enjoy your days soaking up the sun on one of the two permanent docks.

With a location like this, adventures and fun are bursting all around!  A day trip north will have you tasting wine at Goose Watch or Lakeshore Winery, playing slots at Del Lago, or shopping until you drop at the Waterloo Outlet Mall.  Or, travel south to Ithaca where you’ll be hiking the gorges of Ithaca, touring Cornell University or Ithaca College and enjoying dinner at the Boat Yard – located right on the water in downtown Ithaca.  Call and make your reservation today!

Occupancy: This property is closely monitored for responsible renting.  The maximum occupancy of each home is the number of guests allowed on the premises at any given time.  This includes both day and overnight guests.

2. Homes are not handicap accessible, unless stated in the description.
3. Air conditioning is not available unless listed as an amenity. If available, air conditioning is considered a seasonal amenity and is only available May 15 - October 15.
4. Where pets are allowed it is indicated. Otherwise, pets are not allowed. Homes are not guaranteed allergen-free, even those that do not allow pets.
5. Docking capabilities may vary based on current water levels. Docking is not guaranteed if water levels are low and/or high due to seasonal weather and climate changes.
6. Outdoor amenities, including furniture, watercraft and firepit are not available between October 15 - May 15.
