Great house for the family. Enough room to spread out, well equipped kitchen, and great deck with great view. The new dock works great and the 2 kayaks and paddle boat kept every one busy. There was enough room at the dock to tie up a pontoon boat for the week while still plenty of room to swim and fish. Great location with winery and brewery down the street. Great house to maximize lake fun and relaxation.

This property is fantastic! It is a newer home with expansive views of the lake. The wall of windows in the living area took full advantage of the beautiful setting. The waves were a little stronger-- maybe due to the location or time of year. The sound of the waves was like the ocean, which was incredibly soothing. My 9 year old tried fishing for the first time from the dock. In the first 3 days of our vacation he caught 27 fish (lake trout, perch and bluegill). His best catch (from the dock) was a 15" trout. It is not a myth, there is seriously good fishing at this location! The home was well appointed. The furniture and beds were very comfy. It is apparent the owner put a lot of thought into comfort and amenities. For example, in the downstairs area, they had a closet filled with brand new lifejackets ranging from infant to adult. The stay was soo ideal, that we immediately wanted to move here! We're thankful that we got the chance to stay and will look for opportunities to return. It's a great place to truly relax and make happy family memories.

Duck In was absolutely amazing!!! This beautiful home with everything new and updated was the perfect place for a weekend of fun with family and friends!!! We toured the wineries and this location was perfect!!! Quiet dead end road. The interior and furnishings are newer and comfortable. Kitchen had everything needed to cook, bbq and entertain. Lower level new with comfy twin beds and a couple beds with trundle pull outs. Gorgeous, views, walkout access to lake from the lower level to fire pit, nice gravel entrance to water for kayaks, nice dock and easy water access, nice clean area of water around the dock. The views from main level are amazing, beautiful deck with newer nice deck/patio furniture. Kayaks were nice and life vests provided in various sizes. Would definitely rent again, hopefully during summer months to the enjoy the perfect swimming area.

This house was fantastic. The location of the house and being right on the lake made for a great vacation. The homeowners definitely thought of their guests - in their utilization of space and amenities of space. The downstairs area was perfect for the kids, and gave them their own area in the house. We definitely recommend this house and area.

This property was fantastic for our girls weekend. It was within minutes of wineries and was a central location for traveling along the lake. The fire pit was an added bonus that we used each night of our stay. The house was super clean and accommodated all of our needs. We will definitely return to this property in the future.

The Duck In was a perfect getaway for our family. The house is beautiful and close to everything we needed/wanted. Fishing and swimming from the dock was great. The fire pit is set up perfectly to enjoy sunsets before turning in for the night. Waking up to the gorgeous view of the lake and feeding the ducks was the best way to start the day. If you enjoy walking, biking and/or jogging, you will have plenty of opportunities to explore the beautiful countryside with manicured farmland, some of which are run by Amish and Mennonites. This house is also conveniently located near several wineries, Buttonwood Grove Winery being one of them (less than 1 mile away) and it is walking distance to the Boathouse Beer Garden on Route 89. For nature lovers, we highly recommend guests to visit Taughannock Falls State Park and Watkins Glen State Park, among many of the local parks in the Finger Lakes region. We look forward to returning to the Duck-In in the near future and experience a memorable stay once again. We absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for a special retreat by Cayuga Lake.

The Duck In was a fantastic place for a family vacation or time with far away friends. Our group had 4 adults and 5 kids, and everyone was comfortable, especially the kids who had their own hang out space in the basement. We LOVED the shallow walk in beach front and the dock for fishing. The proximity to wineries and the Beer Garden was incredible! We will be back!

The Duck-In did not disappoint. A week full of relaxation. Everything was wonderful. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The swimming, kayaking, and fishing were the best. We also took a hike through Taughannock Falls, had lunch at the Thirsty Owl Winery. The Beer Garden across the street was a nice surprise. We enjoyed the live music!

Five nights with wonderful friends - it doesn't get much better than sharing time together in the Finger Lakes! We're from SE Michigan and our friends are from the Boston area, so this was a perfect meeting spot (380 mile drive for each of us). The Duck-In was such a nice home base for winery tours, shopping, dining, and sightseeing in the area. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the extra touches. We loved the view, morning, noon and night.

What a wonderful week! My husband and I brought our 4 month old son up to the FLX for our first family vacation. The Duck-In did not disappoint! We enjoyed everything the house and the area had to offer. The house is very well-maintained and had everything we needed for the week. We loved sitting on the covered deck as well as inside - so many windows to enjoy a beautiful view! The kitchen is well stocked, there an abundance of towels, blankets, etc. You can get to so many attractions from here as well - we enjoyed Three Brothers Winery, Muranda Cheese, Twisted Rail Brewery, and a beautiful drive to Ithaca. The Village Soft Serve Ice Cream Shop in Ovid is a must try! We will definitely be back! 

The Lowers - Stay Date:

The cottage was very clean and welcoming. Having everything supplied made life a lot easier. Relaxing on the dock or the deck was great. Even the neighbors were nice. Thanks for a great experience.

We spent an amazing weekend here in the fall. Wish we could have stayed longer. Everything is updated, very clean and well decorated . It truly felt like home, so comfortable and relaxing. The king beds were an added bonus and really comfortable. The kids loved having their own hangout space downstairs with all the beds, a couch, TV, ping pong table, etc. We spent the evenings star gazing on the huge dock and sitting by the fire and making s'mores. The beautiful lake is right in front of you and a winery is right behind you. I would most definitely return and would highly recommend staying at this property. This place is amazing and a great place to unwind. You won't be disappointed!

We recently spent time at the Duck In celebrating my birthday with family and friends and had a fantastic time. The lake house easily accommodated all nine of us! Wineries, breweries, and restaurants were so close and the lake even closer! The views were amazing from both inside the house, on the balcony, and of course the dock.
