The North Star of Honeoye

The property had a superb view of the lake, was not far from the marina, had a good dock, was very well kept and clean. If you like the Finger Lakes, this is a nice place to stay.

The property was well kept and well situated. Unfortunately the weather was not good so we lost several days to the effects of a tropical storm. Also the marina opened at 9:00 instead of earlier which would have been more convenient. The property had a nice dock and a great view of the lake.

We were very impressed with this property. It had great water access, for swimming, fishing, boating etc. The kids and adults enjoyed the boat house/game room. Our only issue was a question about the garbage, there was overflowing cans when we got there. I called maintenance and it was picked up, but the recycle was not. The directions said garbage day was Thursday , but nothing was picked up, so the people after us will be stuck with our garbage. But everything else was great, the little ones loved being close to the park for swings and climbing toys. I walked the Nature Trail every morning to start my day.

Another incredible stay at The North Star of Honeoye for our family summer vacation! Beautiful home in the most perfect location checks all the boxes for our three-generation family! North Star was lovely well maintained. With two bedrooms downstairs and two upstairs, it provided convenience and privacy. This house is perfect for a family weekend celebration. The dining seats 12 and the kitchen is large enough to cook a large meal. The views out the windows of the lake are stunning, even in bad weather. The beds and room sizes are so comfortable. Feels like home! We will be back!

Aside from the bad luck of no ice, our family ice fishing trip was perfect in regards to the house. Parking and access was ideal even for the older folks, and the layout of the house was perfect for our group and our interests.

Overall this place ticked all of our boxes. There was enough room for 12 of us, there were many areas to hang out (all with great views of the lake), and the boathouse with it's amenities was perfect. We liked being near to the beach and the pickle ball court and the short nature hike to main street. There was a lot of grass in the entire lake so in my opinion not great swimming - but the house met all of our expectations and the host was awesome.

We had a wonderful time, slept 12 people for a night. We had our jet skis and rented a boat so the dock was perfect. We all had a fire every night and cooked s’mores, hobo pies, etc., star watched and met a friendly heron we named Hank. We’d all love to go back next year.

Property was beautiful and had something for each of us with the boating, fishing, playground and beach a short walk away. Great to have a washer & dryer on premise to wash towels etc. Our family loved the pool table, pac-man game , air hockey, etc. that was located in the garage-nice on rainy days and in the evening. .Only problem we encountered was the garbage pickup. Both totes were full when we arrived and thank goodness pickup was on Tuesday and not the Thursday listed on our packet. Hope to stay again.

This was a nice house and location. Very clean, nicely decorated, well stocked. Porch and fire pit area great places to relax. Nice location near a beach and walking trail. Cool game garage. Going through Finger Lakes Premier properties was very confusing. Our air conditioning and hot water didn't work upon arrival. We couldn't use the kitchen for the first night because of the heat. There were many emails, phone numbers, contacts to communicate with. After sending numerous messages, I was recommended not to use the VRBO app when they responses the next day. Our solutions were resolved, but I wanted to give other renters a heads up that going through this rental company is a different experience.

We used the North Star of Honeoye for a girl’s weekend and were impressed by the layout, number of bedrooms, and kitchen/dining/living space to accommodate the 10 guests. The view was gorgeous and the kayaks and paddle boards were lots of fun! Everything was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The negatives were that the gas fireplace didn’t work for us, the windows looking out to the lake were really dirty, and the covered patio was uninviting due to stained, mildewed cushions.  The landscaping could have also been improved.  And, lastly, the coffeemaker was a dud. Other than those inconveniences, it was a great stay. Would stay again for the view alone.

We enjoyed kayaking, floating in the lake. The house was perfect for our family group of 10. The dock and fire pit were especially awesome and the kitchen was extremely well equipped. We also enjoyed some of the local breweries.

All three generations of our family were really looking forward to this vacation and I'm thrilled to say that our stay at The North Star of Honeoye exceeded our already high expectations in every way. Saying the home is beautiful isn't enough--it's also perfectly designed for enjoyable visiting at every part of the day, all the while gazing at the incredible lake views. The game room, the paddleboards, the gorgeous lakefront and the incredible fishing are just a few of the things that we all enjoyed daily. Easy walk to town where you'll also find a great brewery, nice shops, and a wonderful ice cream shop--something for everyone. Also enjoyed bonfires by the lake while the spectacular Strawberry Full Moon rose over the water. Unforgettable!! Loved every moment and hope to return again!!

Had a wonderful weekend at the North Star of Honeoye! Our group of 8 enjoyed this beautiful house at the end of the lake. The view of the lake from the backyard was just gorgeous. We enjoyed time near the fire pit and playing with the games in the garage when outside. Inside, the huge kitchen island was perfect for setting up snacks, meal preparation and seating area. The open floor plan to the huge sectional and gas fireplace in the living room was perfect for our group. The large dining room and table was ideal for meals and playing games. On Saturday we drove 20 minutes to Naples and visited Inspire Moore Winery, Joseph’s Wayside Market and a roadside stand for a grape pie. We are planning a return visit next year.

From the moment we booked this property through our arrival and departure, it was a dream come true. The house is at the end of a lovely street, right next to a beautiful park with a beach and nature trail. It is a gorgeous house with a game room that sits next to the house that had a pool table, video games, air hockey and more. We kayaked, boated, hung out on the private dock, saw fireflies, muskrats, deer, birds, bunnies and even had our own little chipmunk who visited us every morning as we sat outside and enjoyed our breakfast. We got all kinds of weather, from thunderstorms to clear skies and the rainbows were incredible. We took a day trip to Niagara Falls and Lake Geneva and a boat ride on Conesus. We were so sad to leave. The house fit all 8 of us perfectly, and it was spotless. We loved it so much we stopped by a real estate office and inquired about lake front properties. Thank you so much for hosting us and making this a vacation to remember. We loved it!!!!!

Wonderful place. Quiet neighborhood, lovely comfortable home. We especially enjoyed the pool table and cozy gas fireplace area. A bit too cold for us to go on the water but it was lovely sitting next to the lake. Views from house were terrific. Excellent small brewery in town, and good grocery store for basics, so meals were easy. Also next to park with lovely nature trail. Great get away!

We could not have been more pleased with our visit! The house comes with everything you could need to enjoy the lake. With it's own dock, we were able to rent a boat for our visit and use it leisurely. We also had access to 2 kayaks, a canoe, and 2 paddle boards. The home is kept exceptionally clean and had full sets of linens and towels for everyone. My only suggestion would be to also pack beach towels if you are visiting (although me never needed them due to a heatwave during our time there).The air conditioning worked well, even on 90+ degree days. The patio provides a nice shaded area with a great view of the lake, and we loved using the fire pit at night. The beds were comfortable and fit our party of 12 perfectly. Everyone in our group said they would rent this location again. Easily a 10 out of 10!

We had a wonderful time at the house and the only complaint we had was not being able to swim due to the Algae blooms in the area. It was a nice surprise to find that the house had central AC recently installed. That was not in the description so that was a pleasant surprise. The game room was an added bonus and having the non-motorized water sports equipment was fun. Overall we had a great experience and would use your services again.
